Valley farmers market open for business Saturday

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The Madison County Farmers Market reopened for business Saturday.

They re-opened after the county commission worked out some issues, including the cost of running the market.

The hours are 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturdays, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sundays. They are also open from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday each week.

Athens Saturday Market also opened for the very first time Saturday morning.

It's located at the pavilion on West Green Street, the same location for the Limestone County Farmers Market.

The Athens Market will only be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon through August.
