Cullman dog in running for national ad

Bitsy, Iams Love Tails Finalist Bitsy, Iams Love Tails Finalist

Bitsy, a Yorkie from Cullman, has been named a finalist in the Iams Love Tails Contest that began on Valentine's Day.

Bitsy and nine other finalists have each won a cash prize and a year's supply of Iams pet food, plus the chance to be featured in a national advertisement of Iams.

The nationwide contest seeks heartwarming love stories between pets and their owners. The grand price winning family and their pet will star in a national advertisement for Iams, featuring their real-life "Love Tail."

Dog and cat owners submitted their stories and photos for consideration from February 14 through March 3, 2013. Ten finalists were selected based on the unique bond that they share with their dogs and cats, and the important role Iams plays in those relationships.

Each of the finalist's stories will be brought to life in a video that will be shared on the Iams Facebook page in June. Fans will select their favorite "Love Tail" and the grand prize-winning family will also be chosen in June.

Bitsy's Winning Story:

Todd Sigmon's four-month-old old Yorkie puppy, Bitsy, loves to play and sit on the couch with him while he watches movies. But, before the fun time begins, Todd has to finish cleaning up. Bitsy hates to wait and quickly joins in to get everything in order as quickly as possible. She even picks up all her toys and takes them to her bed. Then, she grabs any stray trash that she can find and runs it over to the garbage can. She always sees to it that her and Todd get to the fun stuff sooner rather than later.
