HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The members at the West Huntsville United Methodist Church have put up a small memorial after two of their own, brothers Anthony and Terry Jackson, were stabbed to death here on the morning of May 21. They'd been members of the church for 40 years and were getting ready to open the food pantry, a program they truly loved.

Emergency crews responded to West Huntsville United Methodist Church at 3104 9th Avenue before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said one man was found dead inside the church and the other was taken from the church to the hospital where he later died.

Witnesses said they saw a man who appeared to be in his 40s, medium build, about 5'8", wearing silver or gray trousers running from the church.

Nothing was stolen from the church. The brothers didn't appear to have been robbed - an absolute mystery. It is a mystery that someone can solve with one simple, anonymous phone call, e-mail or text.

If you know who killed the Jackson brothers, make the anonymous call to 256-53-CRIME or send an anonymous text or e-mail by clicking on the Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers link.

Identify the killer, and there's up to a thousand dollars with your name on it.
