MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Viet Huong Vietnamese Restaurant in Huntsville scored an 80 with the Madison County Health Department. The inspector reported an employee drinking out of an open container in the kitchen, and chewing while putting away clean dishes.
The inspector also discovered pork and shrimp stored for reheating well above the required maximum temperature to prevent bacterial growth in cold-holding foods.
Tienda Maya II in Albertville scoring an 82 during a reinspection after scoring a 78 the time before. A Marshall County health inspector reported cooked rice was nearly thirty degrees below the minimum required temperature for hot-holding foods. And the inspector reported they didn't have enough chlorine in the dishwashing machine to sanitize properly.
No critical violations were reported at the Super Value Mini Mart in Harvest, but plenty of smaller infractions added up to an 84. An 85 would get them off of the health department's reinspection schedule.
An 86 did just that for Taqueria Guanajuato in Albertville, up three points with an 86 during their reinspection.
And a big improvement for the deli at the Star Market on Bailey Cove Road in Huntsville, up 16 points, scoring a 97
