Weems sentenced to life in prison for Colbert Co. murder

COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Ronald Weems was sentenced to life in prison for murder and 10 years for abuse of a corpse.

Weems was found guilty for the murder of Amanda Taylor.

Investigators said he strangled her in the basement of his Colbert County home and recruited three others to help dismember and hide her body.

Ashley Greenhill, Laurel Pruett, and Matthew Fox are charged in connection with the case, accused with abuse of a corpse and hindering prosecution.
