Florence Police investigate home invasions

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

Florence Police are investigating two home invasions that happened within a 48 hour period.

The latest home invasion happened in the 300 block of Cypress Mill Road at 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The offenders were armed, but no one was shot during the incident. Investigators said two men broke into a woman's home and pistol whipped her.

The victim was not able to identify the subjects.

Florence Police are also investigating a home invasion that happened on Minniehaha Street around 2 a.m. Sunday. Police said the robbers forced their way into the home and demanded money and cell phones.

The woman in that case was not injured.

Investigators said they believe these are not random acts.

No arrests have been made in either case.
