Lawrence Co. sees more road projects approved

MONTGOMERY, AL (WAFF) -

We now know the details for round 4 of ATRIP - the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program. 


Unlike previous ATRIPs, this time most of the money will be staying in south and central Alabama. Lawrence County is the only area the northern end of the state receiving any money. However, Lawrence County had been left out of previous funding announcements until the third round.

Here is a full list of Lawrence County projects approved by the Governor's planning commission, and the costs associated with each : 

Resurface County Road 150 from Highway 20 to Highway 101. $1,314,080.00 ($262,800 local funds)

All other projects are being funded entirely with ATRIP money

Bridge replacement on County Road 8 over stream - $32,003
Bridge replacement on County Road 23 over Borden Branch - $42,807
Bridge replacement on County Road 136 over Finney Branch - $89,539
Bridge replacement on County Road 141 over wolf Creek - $284,151
Bridge replacement on County Road 150 over Doney Branch - $1,030,238
Bridge replacement on County Road 187 over Buck Branch - $417,869
Bridge replacement on County Road 330 over stream - $78,114
Bridge replacement on County Road 377 over Mallard Creek - $32,003
Bridge replacement on County Road 377 over big Nance Creek -  $1,002,867
Bridge replacement on County Road 448 over Troublesome Creek - $167,148

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
