15 high school seniors enlist in Armed Forces

Posted: Updated:

Some high school students decided to serve our country and become new members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

They took their oath on Saturday at the Community Salutes Military Students event in Huntsville.

The newly-enlisted students will be joining the ranks of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.

The ceremony took place between high school soccer playoff games at John Hunt Park.

Colonel Mike Faruqui, commander, U.S. Army 2nd Recruiting Brigade, delivered remarks during the ceremony and gave the oath.

Fifteen high school seniors officially joined the U.S Armed Forces. More than 100 graduating seniors in North Alabama have already enlisted.
