HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

There are 12 bronze ducks in downtown Huntsville and it's up to you to find them! Friday, the Huntsville/Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau unveiled the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt.

Using a list of clues, the idea is to find all the ducks that are scattered around downtown. The ducks are permanent statues that are strategically placed around downtown to promote all that the area has to offer.

The idea came after community leaders took a trip to Greenville, South Carolina and saw a similar scavenger hunt there. The idea for lucky ducks came from the fact that there are so many ducks in Big Spring Park and a duck crossing downtown too.

"We encourage people to come out, walk downtown, enjoy the history, see the activities, attractions that we have downtown, enjoy the restaurants and the shopping that we have in the area," said Pam Williams, the CVB's Tourism Sales Manager.

You can find a list of the scavenger hunt clues on the CVB's website, www.huntsville.org. The first 300 people to find all 12 ducks will win a prize from the Visitors Center.
