The severe weather that passed through southeast Louisiana early Friday morning has moved out of the area, but two more systems could still bring heavy rains.
The main threat for the Baton Rouge metro area has ended, but flooded streets continue to be a problem for commuters.
Flooding could be a problem throughout the day with two more rounds of storms forecast for Friday.
Entergy crews worked to restore power to customers on the east side of the city after a tree fell on a power line at Millerville Road near Fontainbleu.
At the height of the storm, Entergy said about 6,000 customers in the Capital City were without power and a quick check of the company's website showed it was only a little over 1,000 around noon.
Some of the flooding caused by all of the rain was located on Nicholson Drive near LSU.
There was also high water over at Essen Lane and Hennessy Boulevard near Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center.
