OWENS CROSS ROADS, AL (WAFF) -

A reward is being offered for the unsolved Huntsville murder of Alonzo McGhee. A total of $6,000 in reward money is being offered.

A gunman opened fire and shot McGhee to death outside his home on Pale Dawn Place in Owens Crossroads four months ago.

Police said McGhee was hit several times.

Mcghee and his wife had recently divorced before the fatal attack.

Now, his family and friends are working to get some answers about his killer. They put up $5,000 of the reward money.

The Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers program added another thousand dollars to that reward.

The reward could go even higher. The district attorney's office may petition the governor's office to add even more money to the reward fund.

Tips can be phoned in to Crime Stoppers at 256-53-CRIME (256-532-7463).
