Lauderdale Co. Jail escapee captured

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Lauderdale County escapee was caught Thursday night near the Tennessee/Kentucky state line.

U.S. Marshals caught Terry Myers around 11pm Thursday in Laurel County, Kentucky after a two hour standoff at his mother's house.

Myers was reported missing overnight April 22nd.

According to Lauderdale County Sheriff Ronnie Willis, Myers escaped through the ventilation system. Officials believe Myers made his way to the roof and then jumped down into a section free of razor wire.

Myers is currently being held in a detention center in London, Kentucky.
