Woman faces charges after leading police on chase

SHEFFIELD, AL (WAFF) -

A Sheffield woman faces several charges after a wreck Wednesday night.

Sheffield Police said Tiffany Calvert took police on a chase after an officer tried to pull her over.

During the chase police said two teenagers jumped from Calvert's car. A few minutes later, Calvert crashed her vehicle and police arrested her.

Calvert was charged with DUI, reckless driving, two counts of reckless endangerment, attempting to elude police, duty to give info & render aid crash (a felony), and driving while suspended.

She is being held at the Sheffield City Jail with no bond. During the chase a Sheffield police officer was involved in a traffic accident. No injuries were reported.

Calvert is in jail without bond.
