To either keep or fire Carol Wicks as Director of Animal Services will be a decision made by the city council. If it comes to that, it would be put on a Decatur City Council meeting agenda for further review. So far, it is not on the agenda for their next meeting on Sep 2. If the issue comes before the city council, that's when we hope to find out why Mayor Kyle decided to put Wicks on paid administrative leave. He will not comment on it, saying he cannot talk about a pending personnel issue. KEMPER COUNTY, MS. (WAFF) -

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation confirmed 6-year-old Jashayla Hopson has been found in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. She's being taken to Rush Hospital in Meridian for observation.

An Amber Alert had been issued for Jashayla who was kidnapped from her elementary school Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Local, state and federal authorities were involved in the search for the girl. Authorities said she was last seen at East Kemper Elementary School in Scooba around noon Tuesday, when she left with an unidentified woman.

Kemper County Sheriff James Moore said the woman went to the school library, called Jashayla by name and left with her. The librarian did not know the woman had not followed procedure and checked the child out through the office.

Jashayla's family discovered she was missing when she did not get off the school bus.
