Real estate agent finds explosives inside house for sale

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A bomb scare forced more than a dozen families out of their homes in Antioch on Sunday night.

The incident happened on Catspaw Court around 7 p.m. after a real estate agent found explosive devices in a crawl space at a home that was on the market.

The bomb squad arrived and evacuated about 20 to 25 homes in total and determined that the devices were hazardous.

The bomb squad confiscated the devices, and the residents were allowed to return to their homes around 12:30 a.m. Monday.

A Channel 4 viewer who inspected the home about a month ago said he saw the devices at the home but did not think they were a threat to public safety.
