Bo Bikes Bama

Cordova, AL (WBRC) - The man ESPN calls the greatest athlete of all time took to the bike Saturday to help raise money for continued April 27th tornado disaster relief. Bo Jackson and many others, including Ken Griffey, Jr. rode 20 miles and 60 miles in the second annual Bo Bikes Bama cycling tour. It kicked off in Cordova at 8:00 AM.

Jackson said that he was touched immensely last year as he rode through ravaged areas such as Cordova, Jasper, and Pleasant Grove. "I wanted to do something that made the rest of the country aware of what happened here in Alabama," said Jackson."

He says it's the human spirit displayed by those who have climbed back from the tornado tragedy that has made him bring the ride back. The event raised more than $600, 000 last year.
