HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

One person has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in West Huntsville.

Several homes in the Research Station neighborhood were targeted by burglars this week. The most recent one happened at a home on Dovington Drive Thursday night.

Huntsville Police arrested Richelle Angela Monique Jones. They said they hope to arrest her accomplice. They believe these arrests will close out most of the burglaries that have happened in the neighborhood.

Investigators said the offenders rang the doorbell at each home to see if anyone was inside before kicking in the door and stealing electronics.

One of the crimes was a home invasion because the woman was home at the time, and the offenders didn't realize it.

Anyone with information about these crimes should call Huntsville Police.
