HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals has denied Amy Bishop Anderson's appeal of her capital murder charge and life sentence.

She shot six colleagues during a Biology Department meeting at UAH in February 2010.

Bishop Anderson pleaded guilty to three counts of attempted murder and capital murder.

Alabama law requires a capital murder plea to go before a jury. Bishop Anderson's jury found her guilty of capital murder and sentenced her to life in prison without parole.

Bishop Anderson appealed that plea and is currently in Tutwiler Women's Prison.

We're working to determine if her attorney will ask the Supreme Court of Alabama to hear the case.
