HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Hollywood is coming to Huntsville. The U.S. Space and Rocket Center will host the world premiere of the movie "Space Warriors" with two separate screenings at 8 p.m. Thursday night.

Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle designated April 25 "Space Warriors Day" in honor of the premiere.

Tickets are still available for purchase at the door for $10. There will be a showing at the Saturn V Hall, located just below the Saturn V rocket where part of the movie was filmed.

At the same time, a VIP showing will take place inside the 3D Theater at the Davidson Center for Space Exploration.

More than 100 out-of-town visitors are expected to attend the red carpet premiere, including the film's executive producer, Spencer Proffer, executives from Walden Media, and several actors and actresses.

The film was shot entirely on location at the Space and Rocket Center in August.

"Space Warriors" stars Danny Glover, Josh Lucas, Mira Sorvino, Dermot Mulroney and Thomas Horn and directed by Sean McNamara.
