HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

This summer, the city along with the arts council is jazzing things up in the newly-proposed arts and entertainment district in Huntsville around the courthouse square on Thursday and Friday nights.

Artists will sell their work at Constitution Hall Village as part of the arts stroll, and performing artists will share their music on street corners.

The Green Street Market will also be selling locally grown foods.

"New patrons can stroll from the square to the market to the arts in the Village. You can sip, stroll, and shop," said Mayor Tommy Battle.

The new proposed Huntsville entertainment district still has to be approved by the Huntsville city council.

A vote is scheduled for May.
