PARK CITY, TN (WAFF) -

After the bombing in Boston and the poison-laced letters being sent to lawmakers, it seems like domestic terrorism is a growing threat. Former FBI agent, Cecil Moses agrees.

"They are terrorist acts for sure," Moses said.  "We have a sufficient number of disgruntled and deranged people who are a major threat, I call them home grown terrorist.  It is probably somebody that has already been here maybe somebody who went to our schools and is educated in our country."

Moses suspects a disgruntled employee or someone who is upset with the government for sending the tainted mail to Mississippi Republican Sen. Roger Wicker and to President Obama.  As for Boston's bombing, Moses has a different profile in mind.

"You're probably going to be looking at a totally different kind of individual or individuals possibly Middle Eastern or a sleeper cell," he said.

An arrest has already been made for the ricin-laced letters.  As far as Boston, Moses said with all the technology will probably play a big part in finding who planted the bomb. Moses said the public should not to be afraid.

"I don't think that people need to walk around in fear, that's the whole purpose of the terrorist to try to instill fear but still be vigilant and be on your guard without being in hysterics."
