2 arrested in Limestone Co. meth bust

LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Agents arrested two people and warrants will be obtained for a third after a meth bust in Limestone County on Tuesday.

Investigators searched a residence on Sugar Way and found several meth labs, a small quantity of meth, and syringes.

Brandon Reed and James Carter Jr., both of Athens, were arrested at the residence. According to police, Andy Pettus, of Elkmont, fled on foot when investigators arrived at the scene.

Reed and Carter were charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Pettus will face the same charges when he is apprehended.
