Coping with Boston Marathon bombing

Some people maybe struggling to cope with the recent events that happened in Boston. Huntsville psychologist Kenneth Sullivan said a lot of the anxiety many are dealing with is normal.

According to Sullivan, after traumatic events, whether you're at them or see them on TV, you're going to have some emotions.

Sullivan  said the first thing a person must do is accept the feelings he or she might be going through.

"And after we accept the feeling then we turn to what can we do to change it. What can we do to help you feel more secure. What can you do to keep yourself safe and still function," said Ph.D. Kenneth Sullivan.

Sullivan said it's okay to take a step back from all those social media updates and that it's all about keeping a balance of staying informed without having it take over your life.
