HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A group of Huntsville runners who were at the Boston Marathon on Monday are trying to come back home.

They're among a Huntsville track group with Fleet Feet.

At last check, runners Suzanne Taylor, her husband Dink, and Jill Hadley were supposed to fly home on Tuesday.

They were all among several other north Alabama runners who left the marathon unharmed, but it was a close call when chaos broke loose.

Taylor said she had just finished the marathon when she grabbed her water, bag and medals, then heard a loud boom.

"We saw the smoke and everybody said that was a bomb and there were two explosions. It was very scary. I mean, if you see it on TV, they just cleared everybody. And, literally, if I were four minutes slower, I would have been right there when it happened," she said.
