Second police impersonator arrested at the Prattville Target store

Posted: Updated:

The Prattville Police Department has arrested a second person for impersonating a police officer at the Prattville Target location. Though this is the second police impersonation suspect arrested at the Prattville Target, police say this is not the same person conducting traffic stops in a white Crown Victoria.

Authorities say 25-year-old Caleb Williams Phillips of Deatsville was arrested Monday morning at the Target location on Legends Parkway.

Phillips was observed inside the store wearing a ballistic vest on the outside of his shirt by store security. He was also reportedly wearing a holster with a BB gun on it and was in possession of an Autauga County Sheriff's Department badge on his belt.

Authorities say Phillips is not the same suspect wanted for pulling multiple people over in a white Crown Victoria in February of this year. Police are still searching for that suspect. He is described as white male who looked to be in his late 30's or early 40's with short hair. The suspect vehicle has red and blue lights located in the car's grill, on the dash board and on the front windshield.

A different alleged police impersonator, 42-year-old Douglas Sterling Newton of Millbrook, was arrested for impersonating a police officer at the exact same Target location on February 22, 2013.
