FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

An overnight fire destroyed an old building in Florence.

The fire broke out just after midnight at the building at the intersection of Glendale Street and Railroad Avenue.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to get it under control. No one was injured.

Fire officials said the building was a home and then someone turned it into a small church. They said it has been vacant for years, and no utilities were connected.
