TUSCUMBIA, AL (WAFF) -

Three out of four suspects in a Colbert County murder case have pleaded guilty.

Matthew Fox, Ashley Greenhill and Laurel Pruett have all pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and abuse of a corpse in the Amanda Taylor murder case.

The district attorney said the trio has not yet been sentenced. Each charge carries a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Investigators said Amanda Taylor was brutally murdered in the Fall of 2011. Her remains were found on the side Gnat Pond Road in Muscle Shoals.

Her accused killer, Ronald Weems, is on trial this week for her murder.

Jury selection began Monday morning at the Colbert County Courthouse. The jury of six men and six women were sworn in just before 3 p.m. and then sent home a short time later.

Court will resume at 9 a.m. Tuesday, and attorneys will jump right into opening statements.

Weems is accused of killing Amanda Taylor in the basement of his Muscle Shoals home. Investigators said Weems strangled Taylor with a nylon strap and then dismembered her body.

He is charged with murder and abuse of a corpse.

The district attorney said they expect the trial to last the whole week.

During jury selection, more than half of the potential jurors admitted to hearing about this case via media outlets, yet no change of venue has been requested for the case.

The district attorney also asked questions about the jury's knowledge of rap group the Insane Clown Posse and video game Dungeons and Dragons, both topics expected to be used during testimony.

Taylor's family was inside the courthouse all day. Her father sat across from his daughter's accused killer during jury selection.

Weems has been in jail since his arrest.
