OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Brian Perry Jones has pleaded guilty to federal charges in a string of bank robberies in north Mississippi.

Jones, of Toney, Ala., pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of bank robbery for holdups of Renasant Bank offices in Iuka and Tupelo last fall.

A sentencing hearing will be held after a presentence report is completed.

Jones faces up to 20 years in prison and up to three years post-release supervision on each count.

Jones was originally indicted on four counts of bank robbery in connection with the robberies of the Renasant Bank offices in Iuka and Booneville and two different Renasant Bank branches in Tupelo.

Under the plea agreement, prosecutors will dismiss the other two counts.
