MONTGOMERY, AL (WAFF) -

Lawmakers in Montgomery had the great beer debate Tuesday afternoon.

At issue is a bill to allow home brewing of beer and wines in the state.

Tuesday's discussion saw a distinct change from years past, with many lawmakers apparently ready to vote in favor of the idea.

Late Tuesday afternoon, the house passed it, 58 to 33.

If the bill goes into law, Alabama will become the 50th and final state to allow home brewing.

However, if you live in a dry county or dry city, home brewing would still be against the law.

Why did Cracker Barrel fire Brad's wife? It's really no one's business, other than Brad's and his wife's, but that hasn't stopped people around the world from demanding answers after a Harrison County, IN, man publicly asked the restaurant chain why his wife Nanette was let go from her job at the Cracker Barrel in Corydon.
