Identity of man killed by car in Kilgore released

RUSK COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A man is dead after being struck by a car on Highway 259 in Rusk County near Kilgore.

According to the Department of Public Safety, 39-year-old Frank Hunter of Blossom, TX was killed on Tuesday morning.

Witnesses say Hunter was driving a light work truck from Kilgore towards Henderson when he lost some items out of the back of his truck near the loop. He had pulled over to retrieve the items when another car hit him. Hunter died by the time first responders reached the scene.

There are no charges being filed at this time.
