GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The Guntersville city council approved an ordinance regarding the farmer's market on Monday night.

The new ordinance will allow people to sell re-sale items at the farmer's market, but they would be required to put up a sign saying their items are not locally grown.

They will also be required to purchase a business license and pay sale taxes on the items sold.

Last year, a new ordinance only allowed locally home grown produce. This forced a long time vendor out.
