AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

An Auburn University student has died, says Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.

Cassandra Anne Gacek, 20, was found by a friend in her Toomer Street apartment Thursday night at about 7:14 p.m.

Medical examiners found Gacek with no signs of life upon arrival, and she was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:15 p.m. by Chief Deputy Coroner Gene Manning.

Foul play, alcohol and other substances are not suspected to be a factor in her death.  Authorities report that Gacek had a past medical history of seizures.

Her body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences medical examiner's office in Montgomery for a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Gacek was from Mobile, Alabama.

The Auburn Police, Lee County Coroner, and Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences are continuing the investigation.

We will keep you updated on any new developments.
