Alcohol and underage drinkers add up to a criminal case, and a Marshall County man will have to go before a judge on charges he hosted an open house party.

Brandon Phillip Kaylor, 24, is now charged with open house party stemming from an incident on March 17.

Albertville Police said officers were on a call driving by the home at 130 O'Hara Drive around 3 a.m. when they noticed some cars parked in the roadway.

They also found several young people who were drinking alcohol in plain view, but they dropped their beverages and several began to flee.

Officers began a chase and later determined several were underage and several had been drinking.

Kaylor was located behind the home and was taken into custody.

Police said they also found a beer pong table inside the home.

"They administered portable breath tests to some of them.  Some of them were, in fact, drinking.  They were underage, under the legal drinking age.  Those were held there and a parent or guardian was called," said Albertville Assistant Police Chief Jamie Smith.

Kaylor is due before a municipal judge May 7th at 9 a.m.
