NASHVILLE, TN (WAFF) - Tennessee has shot down a plan to make sure parents know if their kids are talking about being gay.

The "Don't Say Gay Bill" died in a house subcommittee Tuesday.

The bill would have prohibited classroom discussion of anything other than natural reproduction and would have required school officials to tell a student's parents if they thought the student were gay.
