MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Madison County grand jury indicted a man on two attempted murder charges following a shootout with police.

Samuel Ward faces several criminal charges.

He is accused of shooting at police in 2011.

Officers returned fire, hitting Ward.

The shoot out happened when officers pulled over Ward's vehicle.

The court has not set an arraignment date.
