FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
Florence murder suspect Autumn Wood has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect in connection with the death of Brooklyn Hollins.
Wood is accused of stabbing and killing the 14-year-old during a party in March 2012.
Wood was 17 at the time of the crime. She applied for youthful offender status, but a judge denied that request.
Wood's trial is scheduled for April 15.
