Coroner releases toddler's autopsy

ETOWAH COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A preliminary autopsy report on 20-month-old Maliyah Lindsay confirmed some disturbing reports about the girl's death.

The coroner said the girl died of multiple wounds caused by a sharp object - likely a sword or large knife.

Maliyah's body was found last Tuesday in a wooded area of Gadsden.

Her father, Stephon Lindsay, is facing capital murder charges.
