HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A woman lost a lot of money when she went grocery shopping because of a man and women who double teamed her to steal her purse.

A man and woman were seen on surveillance video using a stolen credit card February 20. Surveillance video also showed the vehicle they were in that day, a silver Dodge Durango with some damage to the right side.

The crime started here at the Costco on North Parkway.

As the woman was taking groceries to her car, a man stopped her and asked her questions to distract her while the woman, his accomplice, grabbed her purse out of the shopping cart and took off with it.

The man and the woman were seen minutes later on surveillance camera using a stolen credit card at a local liquor store.

Police also said the two used the stolen card to buy hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards at local stores, as well as buying over $200 in beauty supplies.

One store clerk remembers the man calling the woman "momma."

If you recognize either of these crooks, you can turn them in anonymously.

You can phone in your anonymous tips to 256-53-CRIME or send an anonymous text or e-mail by clicking on the Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers link.

There's up to a thousand dollars on the line.
