MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Some utility customers are still without power after Monday's storms in Marshall and DeKalb Counties.
Officials at Cherokee Electrical Cooperative, based in
Centre, said they still have 1,000 people without power, 600 in Marshall and DeKalb Counties.
Crews from across
the state have come to help restore power.
Officials said it was hard to get people back online because the outage impacted mostly individuals in rural areas.
They hope to have their customers' power back online by Thursday night.
