DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
A Decatur man is being held on $2,500 bond, accused of vandalizing 28 brand new trucks at a car dealership.
According to police reports, employees at Lynn Layton Chevrolet dealership noticed the damage on Sunday afternoon. They called police the next day, saying that the suspect had come back to the scene of the crime. Officers caught 36 year old Sweet Pear Peterson after a brief foot chase on 6th Avenue.
He's charged with Criminal Mischief and is awaiting a transfer to the Morgan County Jail.
