BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
A high-profile murder trial was scheduled to begin in Baton Rouge district court Monday, but was continued because the defendant's attorney was sick.
Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding will instead go on trial starting April 1.
He is charged with the murders of six people in just a year's time. This trial is specifically for the murder of Terry Boyd, who was gunned down at a house on Vermillion Drive in 2009.
Louding was 17 at the time of the murder.
Last year, Louding had cut a deal, agreeing to testify rapper Torrence Hatch, also known as "Lil Boosie," hired him to kill Boyd. When Louding took the stand, he refused to testify. Hatch was acquitted on all charges.
