DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
More charges for a Huntsville man accused of murder.
Jaime Romero is also accused of running a marijuana growing operation busted by narcotics agents last year in Morgan County.
This comes after Romero was arrested for the March 4th shooting of Decatur roofing contractor, Jose Ruiz.
Morgan County drug agents raided the grow house on Bobwhite Drive in Decatur in March 2012. Authorities seized ten pounds of marijuana, as well as clone plants, and a nursery of small plants.
Romero was arrested for the March 4th murder of Jose Ruiz, after investigators searched his Huntsville home and found evidence belonging to the victim.
Authorities said Ruiz was shot multiple times in a field off County Road 84 in the Speake community.
Romero remains in the Lawrence County Jail without bond.
