FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (RNN) - Three people have died after a small plane crashed shortly after taking off in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The plane landed in the parking lot after taking off at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.
According to the Associated Press, the plane was circling back to the airport after it experienced problems after takeoff. It hit a warehouse, then crashed.
"The plane was in a low bank, there was a pop, then it went down," witness Rick Blackburn told Miami news affiliate WSVN. "When it hit, there was a very large explosion."
Video from the scene shows around 10 cars charred from the fire caused by the wreck.
"It was in a ball of flames from the second it hit the ground," Blackburn said.
So far, there is no word of injuries on the ground.
