MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A truck caught on fire on I-65 Friday afternoon.
Witnesses said the 18-wheeler burned at mile marker 320, north of Lacon and south of Falkville.
The driver said he put six new tires on the rig's trailer.
While he was driving, two of the tires blew. He pulled over, and another tire blew - starting the fire.
While the driver was underneath the truck trying to extinguish the fire, another tire blew.
It took volunteer firefighters 15 minutes to put out the fire.
