DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Two people were arrested on
drug charges after investigators searched a residence near Rainsville.
Deputies arrested Sheldon
Robert Williams, 36 of Fort Payne, and Leah Heather Harper, 37 of Mentone, after
deputies found drug paraphernalia and a meth lab in the residence.
Agents said Williams had meth on his
person. He was out on bond for two previous manufacturing and possession
charges.
Williams was arrested and charged with unlawful
manufacturing of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled
substance, felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to
comply for possession of a controlled substance.
Harper was arrested and
charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, unlawful
possession of a controlled substance, and felony unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both Williams and Harper were
transported to DeKalb County Detention Center where they are currently being
held.
"I'm glad to have Sheldon off
the street again. This is a continuing problem with him. I hope we can keep him
this time until he goes to court," said Sheriff Jimmy Harris.
