DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
An overnight crash in Decatur injured a woman and knocked out power in the area.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. Friday on Wilson Street (also known as Highway 20).
Police said a woman's car struck a power pole and knocked it down on top of her car. The woman suffered minor injuries, but she was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay.
Decatur Utilities workers were working to put up a new pole.
Parts of Wilson Street were closed between Highway 31 and Canal Street, as Decatur Utilities crews worked to restore power.
Wilson Street is a major thoroughfare for 18-wheelers.
