KATY, Texas (AP) - Brandon Fortenberry scored 18 points, leading five players in double figures, as Southeastern Louisiana beat McNeese State 85-65 on Thursday in the Southland Conference quarterfinals.
Fortenberry also had eight rebounds. Dre Evans scored 17 points and Onochie Ochie had 15 points and eight rebounds. Jeffery Ricard had 14 points and Roger Woods added 10 for the fourth-seeded Lions.
Southeastern Louisiana (13-17) led 53-36 at halftime. The Lions shot 55.8 percent from the field for the game, while the eighth-seeded Cowboys shot 42.9 percent. The Lions outrebounded the Cowboys 34-27.
Desharick Guidry led McNeese State (14-17) with 16 points. Craig McFerrin scored 15 points and had a team-high nine rebounds. Dontae Cannon added 10 points.
Southeastern Louisiana will play top-seeded Stephen F. Austin on Friday in the semifinals.
