MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Voters across the Tennessee Valley are deciding on the best BBQ restaurant in their area, ultimately competing for the state's top honors.
Gibson's Barbeque in Decatur is moving to round two in Alabama's Tourism Department's BBQ bracket contest.
The restaurant received more than 1,400 votes Monday on Facebook, beating out Johnny's BBQ in Cullman.
Gibson's will go up against either New Market BBQ or Thomas Pit Barbecue in Madison, with voters having until March 16 to choose their favorite.
On Friday, voters can choose between two other Valley favorites: Whitt's or Lawler's.
