HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The number of TV, movie, and video productions increased in Alabama last year.

The Alabama Film Office reports 31 projects were done in the state, and production companies spent about $33-million.

One movie shot in Huntsville last year was Space Warriors. It was filmed at the Space and Rocket Center.

Mayor Tommy Battle said Huntsville could be used again in the near future.

"Right now, there is some talk about a movie production. I don't know how much is made public yet, but there is talk about using some of our natural assets that we have here," he said.

The state offers rebates to reproduction companies that chose the state.
