JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Students in Jackson County are making a difference in the lives of others.
Elementary children throughout the community are cleaning up and decorating donated suitcases for foster children.
Luv Luggage Works of HeART for Foster Kids, the program sponsored by Unclaimed Baggage, aims to comfort foster kids when they move.
The children team up and decorate the bags with pictures, even writing inspirational messages.
"The reason I painted my suitcase for the foster children is so that they get a warm feeling on the inside of them. And the reason why I did a football field was because football players never give up," said Khristan Long, a Collins Elementary student.
